Day 2: The Fruitening
Author: Kevin

I’ve decided that if I’m going to survive for three weeks on a fruitarian diet, I’m going to have to find a great smoothie recipe that I can use on a daily basis otherwise it’s not going to happen. Today for lunch I tried this recipe off of the Fruitarian Universal Network website:

CUCUMBER SALAD WITH PINEAPPLE
Mix 1 avocado + 1 dl pineapple juice and pour over 1/2 chopped cucumber + 1/2 chopped pineapple + 10 olives.

When I was making it, it sounded pretty good and the avocado/pineapple juice mixture tasted great. I brought it for lunch today and it ended up being a little watery but still edible. I ate much of it that I could stomach, but I’m actually getting dry-heaves just thinking about it. The combination of pineapples, olives and cucumber is awful, especially when topped with a green avocado goo.  The rest of the day was raw nuts, a smoothie for dinner and various fruit during the day. That’s all I can write since I keep seeing the words “Cucumber Salad With Pineapple” right above and I’m afraid I’m going to ralph all over my keyboard. On to day 3!

  2. I actually did take a picture of it, but when I was editing it to put up, I couldn’t handle it, so I just deleted it. It looked soooo unappetizing.
