Next week we are taking off to Mexico on a short cruise and it got me thinking about vegan vacations. The cruise that we are taking is supposed to offer a wide variety of vegan dining options, but I’ll believe it when I see it. It may end up being a fruit and fries week. One vegan vacation opportunity I’ve been meaning to write about are the sustainability-focused bicycle excursions offered by Common Circle Education. They have 3 different tours, two in Oregon and one in Hawaii. It looks like their tours are about a grand, but they include a full week of vegan meals. Apparently all tours include service projects as well as old growth forest hikes, kayaking and other outdoorsy type stuff that doesn’t really interest me, but probably floats other people’s boats. You can find out more information on their website here.

Dr. McDougall Costa Rica adventure is pretty fun & 100% vegan, but more family oriented http://www.drmcdougall.com/adv_costa_2009-2.html
Please let us know about your cruise! I boycotted my family reunion because a cruise ship refused to prepare vegan food.

That is crazy all cruise ships and restaurants are supposed to comply with a persons diet. Religious or not, what about diabetics? What cruise was it? I will make sure I don’t go on it. What a load of crap. How dare they deny a vegan?
I am on my way down to Costa Rica soon and can’t wait
