Robert DeNiro’s Upscale Sushi Restaurant, Nobu, serves up Endangered Blue Fin Tuna

Nobu Serving Endangered Tuna

That’s right. Bobby is openly doing his part to eradicate an already overfished species by placing Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna on his menu. Researchers took samples of the tuna and determined the breed of the fish. Greenpeace approached Nobu’s representatives with the findings and demanded that the establishment take the item off of their menu. Nobu representatives offered a “compromise” stating they would include an asterisk next to the menu item indicating the fish was endangered. Nobu representatives have offered no other alternatives at this time. In addition to the absurdity of having such an item on a menu the carbon footprint of Blue Fin Tuna is through the roof. The tuna has one of the highest known footprints due to its time in transit.

I wonder if the asterisk would have read “This shit is fucked up.”

Either that or “This dish is an asshole detector.”
