The animals need your voice to save them.

Meet in the park at the corner of Rodeo Dr. and Santa Monica Blvd. (see this map: http://g.co/maps/gnwdx) at 11:00am. We will walk down world famous Rodeo Drive and demonstrate at the many fur shops. Along the way we will educate the public about what it takes to produce fur. This will be a peaceful and family friendly demo.

Some people have called Rodeo Drive the bloodiest street in America because of the large concentration of furriers.

Let the Furriers and all the merchants in Beverly Hills know that you will not support them or spend one cent in their stores as long as they sell fur or support others that do. West Hollywood which is literally within walking distance of Rodeo Drive just banned the sale fur.

After the demo we encourage everyone to join in West Hollywood for lunch and to shop. Let’s let the merchants of West Hollywood know that we are supporting them because of the Fur Ban. Encourage your family friends and colleagues to shop in West Hollywood. When other cities ban fur encourage them to shop there as well.

Each year these 10 rescue groups save and find loving homes for approximately 2,500 dogs, cats and horses who were facing euthanasia. They are solely run on tax-deductible donations.

On that same day they will be holding dog and cat adoptions for: LA Animal Services Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA
Fun activities for all ages of animal lovers! Including hosts Jane Lynch of ‘Glee’ & Mario Lopez of ‘Extra’, prizes and awards for top Racers and Fundraisers, free micro chips for the first 400 dogs and cats, huge silent auction, ‘Rockin’ Adoption Show’, face painting, Kid’s Hip Hop Dance Class, ‘Best Pet Trick & Best Costume Contest by celebrity judges’, unique pet products and MORE!

The Humane Education Project is a joint public service project of HEART and the Animal Law and Law in Public Service Committees of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). The program focuses on people’s relationships to animals and the environment, and invites students to become problem-solvers, engaged young citizens, and conscious choice-makers, developing positive character traits such as compassion, responsibility, tolerance, and integrity. This program has been embraced by students, teachers, school administrators, parents, government officials, foundations, and private individuals alike.
