I remember attending the very first Vegan Happy Hour event at The Short Stop on Sunset Blvd. which apparently was three years ago this week. It’s amazing that Julie and co. have been keepin’ it going for so long. So swing by The Short Stop this evening to celebrate three years of good eatin’ and drinkin’ times. Everything kicks off tonight around 5 PM and ends at 9 PM. Bring some vegan treats (store-bought or homemade) to share or just come down and meet some new people. So far on the menu for tonight – chili + banana bread. All are welcome, but you have to be 21+.

I managed to snap a couple of pictures before my flash crapped out (note to self, carry spare AA batteries). We got there late, so most of the food was gone, but fortunately Your Vegan Mom was running even later and brought some great mock-meatballs and chocolate/mint brownies to save the evening. It was nice turnout and was great to see old friends and meet a bunch of new people. Here are a few shots I was able to get before the death of the flash.

This Thursday night is the 2 year anniversary of Vegan Happy Hour at The Short Stop. Julie has done such a wonderful job these past two years of taking her workplace and making it a fun vegan atmosphere on Thursday nights so make sure to thank her.
